EDUCATION SECTOR IN THE COUNTRY

Investments and reforms

• During the last 5 years the size of the state budget allocated to education and science sector has enormously grown in Azerbaijan. 20% of the state budget in 2009 is directed to the education.
• The World Bank allocates $45,4 million on realization of the state project on development of education sector in the country which will cover the years 2008-2013.
• The general strategy of reforming the education system in Azerbaijan is estimated to $250 million.

Education Abroad

• Receiving an education is of great importance to Azerbaijani citizens. A quite high demand for qualified education exists in Azerbaijan and many families are looking for a prestigious universities and schools abroad.
• Every year, over 7 thousand Azeri students study overseas, and they need more information to choose where and when they can study.
• According to the government program on scholarships the number of students getting education abroad will reach 9 -11 thousand every year.

OFFICIAL SUPPORT

Education and Carrier Exhibition is held under the official support of the Ministry of Education of Republic of Azerbaijan, Ministry of Youth and Sport of Republic of Azerbaijan.

MAIN OBJECTIVES

• To present full spectrum of opportunities in education system, including study programs abroad, for students and postgraduates.
• To promote an exchange of experience between the Azerbaijani and international high schools by creating a platform for discussion of the most pressing topics.
• To present last achievements of the educational sector in the country and to mark the new aims and tasks for development of this sector.
• To create an opportunity for employers to present the vacancies and requirements for employment.
• To promote an increase of the educational level in high and secondary schools by increasing of demand for qualified personnel

VISITORS’ PROMOTION CAMPAIGN

To ensure effective work during the 3days exhibition the organisers develop a high level of media promotional campaign which attracts the quality candidates right to the booth.

it includes:

• Direct distribution of 20.000-25,000 invitations under professional database, including all educational institutions of Republic of Azerbaijan, Russia, Turkey, Iran, Georgia and Central Asia
• A broad mass media coverage on TV and radio two weeks prior to the fair.
• Outdoor advertisement: banners, light boxes, advert in metro and bus stations, etc.
• Ads and articles in specialized and leading mass-media of Azerbaijan, Georgia, Central Asia, Turkey.
• Promotion campaign on world-know exhibitions held by ITE Group.
• Press conference dedicated to exhibition.
